07 · FAQ

Common Electrochemical Coating Questions

Our electrochemical FAQs cover key questions on electrochemical behaviour and coating process parameters.

Coating uniformity can be affected by ink dispersion, viscosity, nozzle-substrate distance, spray rate, substrate motion and drying behavior.
Loading is typically controlled through solids concentration, spray flow rate, number of passes, coating speed and deposition area.
Ultrasonic atomization can produce fine droplets and controlled deposition, helping improve coating uniformity and reduce material waste.
Optimizing atomization, spray pattern, flow rate, substrate path and material delivery can reduce overspray and unused ink.

What Is an Electrolyte?

An electrolyte is a substance or medium that contains mobile ions and conducts ionic current. In electrochemical research, it completes the ionic pathway between electrodes and influences charge balance, reaction kinetics, selectivity, and stability. Electrolytes may be aqueous solutions, non-aqueous liquids, polymer gels, molten salts, or solid ion conductors.
