MEAs Coating Systems

Ultrasonic MEAs Coating Systems are equipment specifically designed for uniform and efficient catalyst coating of membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) in proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells or other types of electrochemical devices. These systems use ultrasonic technology to evenly spray liquid materials such as catalyst ink onto the proton exchange membrane of the MEA through high-frequency vibration to form one or more layers of catalyst coating.

The working principle of Ultrasonic MEA Coating Systems is based on ultrasonic atomization technology. In the system, the ultrasonic transducer converts electrical energy into high-frequency mechanical vibrations, which are transmitted to the catalyst ink through the nozzle, subjecting the ink to strong shear and impact forces, thereby being atomized into tiny droplets. These tiny droplets are then evenly sprayed onto the proton exchange membrane of the MEA to form a uniform catalyst coating.
