Spray pyrolysis is a processing technique being considered in research to prepare thin and thick films, ceramic coatings, and powders. Unlike many other film deposition techniques, spray pyrolysis represents a very simple and relatively cost-effective processing method (especially with regard to equipment costs). These films were used in various devices such as solar cells, sensors, and solid oxide fuel cells.
