Indications for carotid artery stenting:
1. The carotid artery stenosis rate is confirmed by imaging examination to be ≥70%.
2. The carotid artery stenosis rate is ≥50% and there is clear ulcer formation and/or unstable plaque.
3. Stenosis of 50%-70%, accompanied by obvious related symptoms such as repeated transient ischemic attacks and a history of ipsilateral cerebral infarction.
4. Restenosis after endarterectomy and stent surgery.
5. Lesions with high surgical risk or that cannot be treated by surgical methods, such as bilateral severe stenosis and tandem stenosis.
6. Arterial dissection caused by spontaneous, traumatic or postoperative conditions.
Indications for intracranial stent implantation:
1. Symptomatic intracranial artery stenosis >60%.
2. The blood vessels distal to the stenosis are normal, the length of the diseased blood vessels in the posterior circulation is <20mm, and the length of the diseased blood vessels in the anterior circulation is <15mm.
3. Residual stenosis after acute arterial thrombolysis and thrombectomy.
4. Recurrent clinical symptoms and neurological dysfunction consistent with narrowed blood vessel supply areas.
