Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are a subject of great interestgiven their unique structure and excellent properties. The size and morphology of CNTs enable them to bea suitable catalyst support, in which active metal particlesmay disperse on the external walls or be encapsulated in theinterior of the nanotubes. The metal particles on the externalwalls make contact with the reactant molecules more easilythan those encapsulated inside the internal channels of theCNTs.
