Ultra-high Temperature Coater
Ultra-high Temperature Coater Working Area and Coating Process Technology
The Ultra-high Temperature Coater features a standard effective work area of 200 x 200mm, which is precisely customized for the small and medium-sized membrane electrode assembly (MEA) preparation of proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzers. This dimensional design perfectly matches the conventional experimental and pilot-scale substrate processing requirements in hydrogen energy electrolysis research. It provides a stable and limited processing space for uniform coating of proton exchange membranes and gas diffusion layers (GDL), effectively avoiding material waste and coating deviation caused by excessive working area, while fully meeting the flat and complete coating demand of mainstream MEA prototype samples.
In PEM electrolyzer systems, the overall electrochemical efficiency and long-term operational stability are fundamentally determined by the quality of MEA core components. Uniform and dense catalyst layers, as well as tightly bonded, defect-free interfacial structures between membranes and electrodes, are the key prerequisites for reducing electrolysis impedance, improving hydrogen production efficiency, and delaying device aging. Uneven catalyst coating will lead to inconsistent current density distribution, local overheating and accelerated membrane degradation, seriously restricting the performance and service life of PEM electrolyzers.
Cheersonic professional membrane coating system is equipped with independent and controllable ultra-high temperature coating modules, supporting diversified flexible process routes for MEA preparation. The system can realize precise deposition of platinum catalysts and various alloy-based composite catalysts. It adopts a mature catalyst-coated membrane (CCM) core process, which directly coats functional catalyst materials on proton exchange membrane substrates. Meanwhile, it also supports the pre-coating process on electrodes and GDL structures, followed by lamination and composite molding.
Supported by the 200 x 200mm high-precision working area, the equipment achieves micron-level uniform coating, ensures consistent catalyst loading across the substrate surface, optimizes the interface adhesion between catalyst layers and base materials, and greatly improves the overall yield and electrochemical performance of PEM electrolyzer MEA products.
