PET film is used in roll coatings
PET film is used in roll coatings – Cheersonic
There is specialized equipment for coating roll PET film. This equipment is typically equipped with continuous feeding and take-up devices to ensure stable and continuous roll delivery. For example, in some high-end precision coating production lines, the roll conveyor system can precisely control the conveying speed and tension of the PET film, keeping the film flat as it passes through the coating area, which is beneficial for uniform liquid coating on the film surface.
The nozzle system can also be adjusted according to the width of the PET roll. Whether the roll is wide or the section is relatively small, full coverage can be achieved by selecting the appropriate nozzle arrangement (such as single-row or multi-row nozzles) and adjusting the spraying range of the nozzles.
Material Properties Advantages
PET film has good flexibility and chemical stability, and can withstand the handling during the coating process well in roll form. It can withstand the impact of the liquid sprayed from the nozzle and will not break or deform due to minor external forces. Furthermore, the smooth surface of PET film and its affinity for liquids allow for good adhesion of materials such as liquid silver thread suspensions sprayed onto it.
Its roll form facilitates large-scale, continuous production. Long stretches of PET film can be rolled into rolls for continuous spraying and drying on the production line, significantly improving production efficiency.
Key Process Control Points
When spraying roll PET film, several key process parameters need precise control. For example, the roll conveyor speed must match the spraying speed of the nozzle. Too high a conveyor speed may result in uneven liquid spraying, with missed areas; too low a conveyor speed will cause liquid to accumulate on the film, affecting coating quality.
Spraying pressure and the distance between the nozzle and the film are also crucial. Appropriate spraying pressure ensures uniform atomization and spraying of the liquid onto the film, while controlling the distance prevents liquid splashing or damage to the film surface due to excessive distance. In addition, since it is a roll material, special attention should be paid to tension control during the conveying process to avoid wrinkles that could affect the coating effect.
